We had a little incident and couldn't make our trip to some of the historic sites in Brisbane. The day was extremely hot, having a flash car I tried to put down my electric windows before getting in the car, this is when the back passenger window stopped half way and would not go up or down. As I was not able to lock the car we decided the visits would have to be called off for the day until the window was fixed.
On repair of the window we chose to go to the Open Day at Government House, every Australia Day Government House is open to the public.
The grounds are vast and you can walk all the paths without restriction and the property is actually open for tours and the local historic societies showcase some of the attractions close by. Again is was a stinking hot day and after walking around the grounds we could not force ourselves to stand in the line for the house tour. The house tour line was about five deep and fifty long and was out in the sun, no shade at all.
This was a short lived excursion and we will try to make a bit more effort next time. To do this God might make a bit more of an effort to give us a pleasant and sunny day but cooler day.
The last weekend in February is booked for a Historic Site day out.
